cScibot Lego Robotic Camp

New this year

An advanced camp for students who have attended our introductory camp. Each camper in the advanced camp will use a Lego® Mindstorm NXT robot to solve new and expanded challenges.

What we will be doing

Campers will use a Lego® Mindstorm™ Robotic kit to build several computer controlled robots. The campers, working in teams of two, can build cars, tanks, boats or something of their own creation. Campers will learn how to control the robot to avoid obstacles, pick up and carry objects, or even compete in a Sumo-style robot competition.

Lego® robots are easy and fun to program. The software used to program the robots was designed for grade school children, so everyone will be able to get started right away. There are several means of creating control programs to operate the robot, each with more power and complexity.

As participants become more proficient at controlling the robot, there are programming tools which are designed to grow with him / her.

Registration

The cost for the introductory camp is $60.00. The cost for the advanced camp is $75.00. Payment can be made by check / money-order (made payable to UND) or credit card along with your registration application. If the camp is filled when your application is received, the payment will be returned to you.

Location

The cScibot Lego® Robotic Camp will be held in various class rooms in the Computer Science Department located in Streibel Hall on the University of North Dakota campus.
